The School to School Support Partnership has been developed as a result of the consultation with schools in February 2015 and is the driver in developing a school led self- improvement system for Suffolk schools.
As a result of the high quality comment and reflection, it has been clear that maintaining the existing partnerships - whether these were at a local level or as part of the Teaching School networks - was the overall preference.
We have therefore combined together the partnerships that contributed their views and ideas to the consultation together to form The School to School Support Partnership. This is a key action within the post Ofsted action plan as a result of the inspection letter in May 2015 and a priority within “Raising the Bar”, Suffolk’s response to tackling levels of educational attainment in the county.
The School to School Support Partnership is part of the School Improvement Strategy for Suffolk schools.
Sharing Best Practice
In the first instance, the focus of The School to School Support Partnership will be on the sharing of best practice across the county, so that schools can learn from and support each other. The website offers schools the opportunity to do this in a straight forward way, by submitting an initiative that has had measurable impact on pupil outcomes.
To develop The School to School Support Partnership the involvement of school leaders’ ideas and suggestions would be welcomed. The feedback button at the end of the home page is intended for this purpose.
These are the eleven Teaching Schools: Bedfield Cof E VCP (5 Rivers), ConnectED, Debenham High (Mid Suffolk), Encompass (Hartismere School) Farlingaye & Kesgrave, Springfield Junior School, Primary East (formerly SANTSA), Suffolk Borders, The Lark, West Ipswich and Cambridge & Suffolk (CASSA), together with the Bury Schools Partnership, the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, the SWISS Partnership, SASH, SCITT, SPHA and the Local Authority, including Schools’ Choice. This does not exclude any other partnerships that would like to be involved, but it is a starting point on which to build.
This group will be the strategy group for the new School to School Support Partnership, which will focus on providing school to school support options, including CPD for all schools in Suffolk, and will be part of the overall offer for school improvement.
